How to Use the Focus Timer (Pomodoro)

Master the Pomodoro Technique® for peak productivity:

  1. 🍅 Set Durations:
    • Focus Duration: Typically 25 minutes, but adjustable to your preference. This is your work interval.
    • Break Duration: Usually 5 minutes for short breaks. Longer breaks (15-30 min) are often taken after 4 focus cycles. You can adjust this for your short breaks.
  2. ▶️ Start Focusing: Click "Start Focusing". The timer begins with a focus interval.
  3. 💼 Work Intensely: Concentrate on your task until the timer signals the end of the focus session with a sound.
  4. Take a Break: The timer will automatically switch to the break interval. Step away from your work.
  5. 🔄 Repeat: Continue the cycle of focus and break. The timer tracks completed cycles.
  6. ⏭️ Skip: If you finish a task early or want to move to the next phase, use the "Skip" button.
  7. 🔁 Reset: Stop the current session and return to settings.

Tip: The key is to fully focus during work intervals and truly disconnect during breaks. Protect your Pomodoros from interruptions!
